Jimmie Johnson Wins Dover Sprint Cup Series Race On Purolator Filters

DOVER, DE, — Three- time defending NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion and a leading Bosch stock car driver, Jimmie Johnson, won the Autism Speaks 400 race Sunday at Dover International Speedway. Driving his Purolator-equipped Lowe's Chevrolet Impala for Hendrick Motorsports, Johnson went from running away from the field to running down Tony Stewart on his way to the victory. Johnson, who runs on Purolator oil and air filters, dominated early leading a career-high 298 laps before a slow pit stop dropped him from the lead and set up his late pass of Stewart to win by just 0.861 of a second.
