LONG POND, PA — Four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon won the 5-Hour Energy 500 race Sunday at Pocono Raceway driving his familiar #24 DuPont Chevrolet Impala running on Purolator filters for Hendrick Motorsports. It was the second Cup victory of the season for Gordon, who now has 84 wins in NASCAR's premier stock car racing series to tie him with series' legends Darrell Waltrip and Bobby Allison all-time. Five-time defending Cup champion Jimmie Johnson was fourth in another Hendrick Chevy driving on Purolator.
