Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Returns to Victory Lane at Daytona Driving a Hendrick Chevrolet to a Nationwide Win on Purolator

Daytona Beach, FL — The Earnhardt family name returned to Victory Lane in American stock car racing once again Friday night at the home of NASCAR racing at Daytona International Speedway when Dale Earnhardt, Jr. won the Nationwide Series Subway 250 race. Driving a Purolator-equipped Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Impala that honored his late father's induction into the NASCAR Hall Of Fame. Earnhardt, Jr, drove a #3 Chevrolet with a Wrangler paint scheme to honor his father, the late Dale Earnhardt who won six NASCAR Cup championships. Friday night found Dale, Jr. taking the lead on pit road with 26 laps remaining and sprinting to the victory by 0.094 of a second and averaging over 146 mph.
